XVII Congreso Nacional de Materiales (CNMAT 2024)

El Congreso Nacional de Materiales (CNMAT) constituye el foro más relevante en España para conocer los avances propios y ajenos en los distintos aspectos del conocimiento sobre materiales, desde el procesamiento y la fabricación hasta la caracterización microestructural y las propiedades de comportamiento de materiales estructurales, funcionales, de construcción, biomateriales, materiales nanoestructurados, etc., incluyendo todas las familias, cerámicos, poliméricos, metálicos y compuestos. Destinado a todos los integrantes del tejido científico, tecnológico e industrial dedicados a los materiales resulta un marco inigualable a nivel nacional para la presentación de algunos de los resultados obtenidos en el Proyecto COCO en esta 17ª edición celebrada en la ciudad de Málaga durante los días del 25 al 28 de junio de 2024.

High-Temperature Corrosion and Protection of Materials (HTCPM 2024)

El simposio internacional de Corrosión a altas temperaturas y protección de materiales (HTCPM) se centra en compartir la investigación actual y el conocimiento científico sobre la corrosión a alta temperatura y la protección de los materiales. Se celebra se cada 4 años en la isla de Embiez, Francia, y es organizado conjuntamente por varias instituciones: Université de Technologie de Compiègne, Francia (UTC), el Oak Ridge National Laboratory, EE. UU. (ORNL), el Toulouse Institut National Polytechnique, Francia (Toulouse INP), la Université de Lorraine, Francia (Lorraine U), la Université de La Rochelle, Francia (La Rochelle U) y la Université Grenoble Alpes, Francia (UGA). Durante el trascurso de la conferencia, se ofrece una plataforma para la presentación de resúmenes y pósteres sobre el tema además de la oportunidad de presentar charlas muy interesantes, una sesión de pósteres valiosa y bien estructurada y de mantener debates en profundidad para crear una gran red con colegas de todo el mundo.

International Conference on Metallurgical Coatings and Thin Films (ICMCTF 2024)

Con motivo de la celebración de la 50.ª Conferencia Internacional sobre Recubrimientos Metalúrgicos y Películas Delgadas (ICMCTF 2024), celebrada en el Town & Country Resort, San Diego, California, EE. UU., del 19 al 24 de mayo de 2024, el grupo de trabajo del Proyecto COCO por medio de sus integrantes del Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA) y la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) participó mediante dos presentaciones que corrieron a cargo de la doctores Alina Agüero Bruna y Francisco Javier Pérez Trujillo, respectivamente. En esta última se mostraron los resultados experimentales obtenidos de la colaboración de ambos grupos de trabajo.

European Federation of Corrosion Workshop (EFC 2023)

El grupo de trabajo de COCO presentó un póster en el evento de la Federación Europea de Corrosión (EFC) dedicado a la corrosión y la oxidación a alta temperatura y celebrado del 25 al 29 de septiembre de 2023 en Marktheidenfeld, Alemania. En el póster, de título "New slurry coating developments for resisting molten carbonate corrosion at 650ºC and 700ºC", se mostraban los resultados de los ensayos llevados a cabo con sales de carbonato sobre los recubrimientos de slurry, y era una colaboración entre el Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA), de España, y el Centro de Microcaracterización Raimod Castaing de Toulouse, Francia.

El grupo de trabajo de COCO participó en las Conferencia de Investigación de Gordon (CRC) dedicada a la Corrosión a alta temperatura y que se celebró durante los días 16 al 21 de julio de 2023 en Colegio Colby-Sawyer de New London, en el estado de New Hampshire de Estados Unidos de América (USA).
